Wicka Designs furniture and accessories are designed to be outside, but in all cases, the life of your purchase will be greatly prolonged with regular cleaning and light maintenance. As with most things, the better you treat it, the longer it will last.
Rattan Furniture Care Instructions Clean the surface regularly. A monthly or even weekly cleaning is the best way to protect your rattan furniture and prevent major damage. Clean with a little dishwashing detergent diluted into water. Skim the suds off the top of the water with a soft cloth and then wipe the furniture's surface without getting any wood wet. Be sure to get into crevices and grooves with a toothbrush or other small brush.
Care for stains or other major damage immediately. Use detergent and a cloth to scrub out stains as soon as they occur.
Teak Furniture Care Instructions To maintain teak furnishings, use a soft bristled utility brush and stroke lightly in the direction of the grain to remove surface dust. For more stubborn dirt, the wood may be washed with a mild solution of four parts laundry detergent or dishwashing soap to one part bleach in water, then rinsed thoroughly and allowed to dry completely. Oiling the wood may cause mildew or irregular coloring.
Sunbrella and Sunproof Care Instructions One of the best ways to keep Sunbrella® and Sunproof brand fabrics looking good and to delay deep or vigorous cleanings is to properly maintain the fabrics. This can be accomplished by simply brushing off dirt before it becomes embedded in the fabrics, wiping up spills as soon as they occur or spot cleaning soon after stains occur.
General or Light Cleaning - Brush off any loose dirt. (less than 100°F/38°C).
Spot Cleaning - Apply a light mist of our recommended cleaning solution using a spray bottle. - Work the solution into the stain by lightly scrubbing the area with a sponge or very soft bristle brush.

Machine washing Remove covers and wash in cold water (less than 100°F/38°C). Depending on wash load size, use normal amounts of mild laundry soap and add 1 cup/225 ml of bleach. Allow fabric to air dry. DO NOT dry clean Sunbrella® or Sunproof fabrics.
Helpful Hints Sunbrella® and Sunproof air-dries very quickly. Machine drying is not necessary and not recommended. If fabric has some wrinkling, use an iron, if necessary, but only on the synthetic* setting. As some irons exceed the recommended 100°F/38°C temperature on the synthetic setting, test a small inconspicuous area before ironing entire piece.
DO NOT use a steamer or iron set to steam setting. * Synthetic fabric heat settings normally do not exceed 150°F/66°C.
WICKO FRIO TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Beanbag Construction All Wicka Designs beanbags are made from marine-grade Sunbrella® brand fabric.
Durability Marine-grade Sunbrella® brand fabric is specifically designed to handle longterm exposure to the elements. Actual long-term durability will naturally be affected by external factors including climate (temperate/tropical), location (coastal/inland) and position (exposed/under cover).
No material is totally immune from the effects of long-term exposure, but in all cases, the life of Wicka Frio products will be greatly prolonged with regular cleaning and light maintenance.
Care See notes for General and Spot Cleaning above. Alternatively for ongoing maintenance, clean and protect with 303 Fabric Care products available through Wicka Designs or Sunbrella.
Warranty Wicka Designs warrants that the Sunbrella® beanbags and cushions will not become unserviceable due to loss of colour or strength for 5 years. |
